Asus last week listed the changes the Android 5.0 Lollipop update would bring to the Zen Fone 4, Zen Fone 5, and Zen Fone 6 handsets, apart from the Material Design UI and other changes that Google's Android update offers.These include the removal of some pre-installed apps such as battery widget, Photo Frame widget, Movie Studio, Cloud Print, CMClient, and Magic Smoke Wallpapers.As far as the cameras are concerned, the Asus Zen Fone Go 5.0 LTE (ZB500KL) packs a 13-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 5-megapixel front shooter for selfies.

On the sidelines, Asus also announced that the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update will replace three of the company's home-grown apps: Asus Messenger, Asus Mail, and Asus Calendar.
They will be replaced by Google Messenger, Gmail, Calendar, and apps respectively.
Amid concerns from users, Asus said that it will be rolling out the latest and greatest version of Google's mobile operating system to a range of its Zen Fone handsets including Zen Fone 2 (ZE550ML, ZE551ML), Zen Fone 2 Deluxe (ZE551ML), Zen Fone 2 Deluxe Special Edition (ZE551ML), Zen Fone 2 Laser (ZE500KG, ZE500KL, ZE550KL, ZE551KL, ZE600KL, ZE601KL), Zen Fone Selfie (ZD551KL), Zen Fone Max (ZC550KL), and Zen Fone Zoom (ZX551ML) in the second quarter of 2016.
Also included in the list is Pad Fone S smartphone.
The Android Lollipop update brings a new lock screen with removed standalone wallpaper and weather details (1GB RAM variant only); a change to the quick settings/ recent app layouts (1G RAM variant only); revamped Dialler and Contacts; removal of in-call animation and cover; addition of My Ocean wallpaper, Day Scene Live Wallpaper, Trip Advisor, and Asus Auto-start Service Manager app, and auto-start service manager, as well as improved VOIP phone call function and music function.
Until Asus' announcement of the global rollout last week, the LTE-variant of the Zen Fone 5 was the only smartphone that had received the Android 5.0 Lollipop update.
The company has made Android phones powered by Intel and Qualcomm So Cs.
Asus's latest mobile launch is the Zen Fone Go 5.0 LTE (ZB500KL). The phone comes with a 5.00-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720 pixels by 1280 pixels.
